How to choose a wall art

Updated: Nov 17, 2023

Find out how to make the right decision

Hello, everything ok? In this post, I'll start with the most basic question: How to choose a art for my wall? What type of picture should I choose?

This is a very subjective question and the most important thing is that you don't have to follow a bunch of rules, just let your creativity run wild and show who you really are. But how? Some people have a kind of 'lock' in it.

The important thing is to choose something that matches your style and that of the people who share the space with you, if applicable.

Unless you're looking for a particular artist, letting instinct take over might be a good option. We instinctively feel when something pleases us. It could be for the colors, it could be for the theme, it could be for the feeling that it gives us or it could be something that you just don't know what it is. And that should be your starting point.

By following these tips, the image you choose will be like you, like a story silently told about you.

To start this creative journey, it might be interesting to explore a bunch of images that catch your attention and make you feel different things.

It has a huge number of options: image banks, stores with cool pictures... it's a party of cool things waiting to be discovered.

Social media is there for that too. Pinterest and Instagram are full of great ideas.

My portfolio at can also serve as a source of inspiration (I hope so! 😉)

Doing some research to see how to decorate will introduce you to many possibilities. And after a while, you'll start to see a pattern. And that pattern will probably be made up of the things you like the most visually.

The picture is you!

So, my dear reader, on this journey of giving spaces a new face and making them a personal corner, remember that the picture is a bit of a piece of you. You know that dull wall? It can be turned into a private show.

Every time you look at it, let a smile come, because it's more than just a picture - it's like your artistic soul there, saying hello.
